Shanna has ALWAYS been an excellent shot. She was right at the front lines against the General, and today her aim rivals Marc’s.
(I really struggled to work out this scene so that Shanna did just the right amount of damage to drive them away. It would’ve been so much easier to do that if she WEREN’T a crack shot.)
Yeah, the crackshot was (re)established “not so long ago” (at the beggining of a new generation when Shana and Will are in simulation with autobots or gobots…)
I really like those new villains (I don’t see the drone reference, though) !
I don’t think Mechtech is *Sh*ing her blaster, I think Shanna nailed the two Drones that came out of Mechtech’s jacket in panel one. So the crack shot that is Shanna holds up to her reputation. Hitting two small targets that are moving, is pretty impressive.
If Shanna really intended to take out the drones and put a warning shot over Bolo Yeung’s shoulder, she’s a real problem with prioritizing targets. The Technomancer should have been the first target.
I realize it’s a little ambiguous-looking there, but Shanna did hit Wheaties: he wouldn’t say “ow” or lose his balance over a near miss. For the droids, pick whichever interpretation looks rightest to you:
1) The droids veered into the line of fire to protect Mechtech’s head and chest
2) The droids might have killed Will even without Mechtech’s direct instruction, and so got priority.
Heh, I can’t believe I’m feeling a bit prickly on Shanna’s behalf in defense of her marksmanship. Sign of identifying with the characters, I guess.
Oh my God! Di’s dead?! I…I…-. I feel nothing. It’s weird, among the webcomics I read, Di and Vriska Serket were the violent glass cannon bitches/good guys. But with Vriska, even though her life was filled with far more murder, I feel true mental and emotional development, and willingness to develop. With Di, even with backstory, she seemed like more of a parody of some other character, no emotions behind her backstory, even when she was suffering it didn’t feel real at all when compared to the others. I love Fans, but Di was by FAR my least favorite main characters.
Di. Part of a healthy Animal breakfast.
wow i would never have pegged Shannon for a crack shot
Getting fixed was the best thing that ever happened to her. And the worst.
probably only if she is fixed and not cured. to be fixed would be a horrible thing

What crack shot? All I see are three shots and 3 misses.
Look again… Three shots and three hits… Look at the first panel if you want to locate the other two targets…

That looks really really really bad. I doubt we’ve seen the end of Di but at the very least that looks like a MAJOR, potentially life-altering injury.
DDDDDDDD8 Di! No! And the cure-room was blown up so Bax can’t use that to save her ;A;
… Why does Shanna run out of ammo after three shots? O.o I would think one of the advantages of energy weapons would be not having to reload as often…
… And then I noticed that it’s not running out of ammo, it’s the fact that Mechtech is “sh”ing the gun in the third panel, rather than her teammate.

It’s both- Shanna shoots the two drones, then Mechtech shushes her gun. In the last panel, Shanna’s gun has obviously stopped working.

I don’t think Di’s dead Cronomatt… but yeah, it doesn’t look good.
I don’t think she is either. I was just being dramatic Bunny Suction.
