Didn’t they state earlier that the biochemistry that caused this change was rare one? And it just so happens that the chick he was interested in before just HAPPENED to have the same reaction?
Just as a sort of backhanded complement: Faans was one of my favorite comics for years and I was saddened both the first and second times it ended. I wasn’t sure I’d like this one but it is really growing on me, of course due to T’s amazing mastery of character development.
Brendan, Jo doesn’t share Zach’s truth-sense – she’s just feeling danger, same way he did while showing the professor his thesis before this mess started.

It seems that in all the spidey obsessiveness either mankind has developed a general spidey-sense, or some scientist did and its been universally shared (not necessarily everyone, but perhaps a common over the counter vitamin supplement)
Men have remarkably less self control than women in situations such as this. If, for whatever reason you don’t want to sleep with the attractive female who is “initiating” the encounter, you need to RUN. Every second of delay in the situation drops your chances of staying a virgin to nothing.
Animaniac: You’re taking it too literally. It’s just another change in the way people think or express themselves on Earth Spidey. For example in our world, if we feel danger then we might say “It sent a shiver up my spine”, but on Earth Spidey they’d say “My Spider-Sense was tingling.”
Welp.
Welp.
You had the right of it two strips ago, ZZ: Danger!
WELP.

Poor writing, dudes.
This has to be the most bizare romanitcizing I have ever seen.
I see nothing poor in the writing. Jo is getting a “buzz” off of Zach’s danger sense. There’s no evidence that she shares his “truth-seeing” powers.
Welp.
Many welps! Handle it!

The last panel makes a pretty good point

That’s not his welp she’s holding in panel 4…
Sorry I’m late.
Welp.
