You know, I know I’m not supposed to side with Thwip (and every fiber of my nerdy being is screaming at me not to), but he has a point. While the course correction likely would improve his game, what football player could actually adjust their course by ten degrees in the heat of the game? Mentioning it is kind of a dick move on Zach’s part.
Of course, it’s quite likely that Zach is quite aware of this and did it purposefully, in order to drive a wedge between Jo and Thwip and strengthen his ties to Jo, all while appearing to do nothing but try to be helpful. Seems “passive-agressiveness” is a superpower now.
I dunno…. I wonder if, while he’s apparently Truth-Man right now, he actually has evil intentions. It’s possible, but I’m hoping it’s more that his powers don’t extend completely to the social realm and he’s just being awkward.
Then again, he could just be a jerk now. I’m hoping not though!
Well, of course he has evil intentions. And when he goes on the wrestling circuit the reality show, he’ll have some tough lessons even Truth Man will need to learn. Even… tragic lessons.
After all, with great perception comes great responsibility, right?
This is starting to sound… familiar, somehow.
Score one for Zachary. No beating at Thwip’s hands (yet), and Jo liiiiiikes him.
“Get my number from the directory”. Wow, and no slap from Jo either.
I think Jo may be suffering from some sort of PTSD from watching Zach immolate his face.
…Just what talents does he expect that style of reality TV to test?
If this is picked up by Marvel, I expect the network name in panel 6 to change to ABC. It’s a hunch I have.

1) Impress girl.
2) Irritate/demean rival.
3) ???
4) Profit!
Her body language in panel three suggest that ‘brains’ are not what she wants to ‘storm’ on Saturday.
Of course, this could all blow up in his face if she realizes just how much of what he’s doing is meant to manipulate her.
…I still giggle every time I realize that his name is Thwip. Heeheehee…
Z-man’s figured out there’s nothing immature girls like more than a man who acts like a dick.
