@Arjay2813: What makes you think she’s wearing it *for him*? I mean, yes, they’re on a date, and in a sense everything she’s wearing is to attract his attention. And it’s probably a tight shirt so she’ll look good. But why can’t she like the Superman/woman logo for its own sake? She can have geeky interests too, after all — I’d be amazed at anyone who spent as much time hanging out with Team Alpha as she does without picking up an interest in things like comic books, video games or SF, even if she didn’t have any to begin with.
I like that now Di has figured out that Marc’s pining for some married person, but since there are several married people in their circle, she doesn’t necessarily know *which* married person. Leaves a lot of possibilities for her to ponder
Okay, I’d kind of thought she’d already figured the body-switch — that being why she dragooned him into this date — but she’s apparently not there yet, and as with this logic-chain, may follow things up the wrong (married) tree.
@Andrew, i don’t think she has any reason for wearing it other than enjoying Superman, but its probably the geekiest thing she has clothing-wise, and with a guy like him she probably wants to do things that would get him to talk to her that he’s interested in. just a guess though, we’ll see in 6 more pages or less most likely
This restaurant seems to be popular with bald men.. 3 of the 5 visible men last page were bald (one hiding it with a toupee) and all the men in the background here are hairless….
Or maybe there’s some reason bald men are so prevalent in the Faans world..
Why do people think so much that Di is going to just somehow figure out the bodyswap? That’s pretty incredibly unlikely. It’s not like she’s known Marc and Bax for years, he didn’t do anything that she can totally rule out having been done by Marc, and Bax actually ended up playing his part pretty well by pulling up an excuse that actually fits with reality. Di’s not a moron but she’s no Hilda, and even she might not have figured it out if it weren’t for her own out-of-body experience.
the word on the shirt is apt for panel 2. is he blind to the fact that she’s wearing a geeky/fanish shirt up for him, or just ignoring that?
I missed the comma in Di’s line in panel 2 for a second, and was like “she’s pining for WHO? What?”
Totally love this update… Seems Di’s mind has finally clicked about that line. Now where will it go from here?
Aw. I was hoping that the Amazing Flipping Toupee Man was going to be in the background again….

Thinking that was Marc, she thinks “Marc” was talking about Shanna, I bet.

xheralt: that assumes that Baxter didn’t think that Marc was after Shanna, and thus answer as he thought Marc would.
Regardless we all know Marc’s got feelings for Shanna…
I’m hoping she thinks Marc is after Tim’s girl, so that maximum hilarious antics ensue.
Or maybe after Tim. Equally funny.

Di’s going to think that Marc is after Rumi, I bet. She’s too deft to get that right without any antics.
Also, look at the second panel, but ignore the speech bubbles. It looks kinda naughty.
Antics don’t always add to a story you know… Unless they’re needed for a sub-plot or end up being called back on in the main plot.
