No no — it’s not so bad — it’s a tweed coat and pleated slacks. That can work in almost any environment. They can hit anything from a dive bar to a dance club to dinner out to the theater and he’ll come across okay.
Well, except for the moccasins. Lots of places care about the shoes. Anti-loafter Fascists, the lot of them!
At a glace Bax does look quite fancy but I think one could work it out in weraing that to a normal place. But then again for Bax this is quite fancy for him… So yeah…
Well, Bax can just take the coat off and loosen his tie and basically look fine. Hipster chic is a perfectly acceptable look for a casual setting. Meanwhile Di is the one who looks comparatively like a doofus, and probably feels bad for not telling him how to dress.
Unfortunately for Bax this miniscule point in his favor will not make up for whatever happens next. I can hear the warning sirens going off in his head. He hasn’t even left his apartment and he’s already looking for the fire escape. Don’t blame him – she’s one scary chick.
If a gorgeous, powerful, blonde showed up at my door wearing that shirt, I think I might, for a second, think the real one showed. Either I’d come to my senses, or i wouldn’t…. either way, I’d never forget the evening.
OK, that’s just being cruel.
Bax, don’t forget your hat. You know the one, purple with the big feather in it?
He’s wearing moccasins? That’s so adorably dorky, especially with the suit.

This actually happened to me once.

*wonders what Locke’s Evil twin will say about this*
Seems kinda ironic. He dressed up for where he thought she would like to go, and vice versa. Don’t know if I should be sad or happy for them.
@Sri, the term for that is, I believe, “adorkable”.

Actually scratch the thing about her feeling bad. She’s still smiling when she sees what he’s wearing. She planned this. The bitch.
His hair should be parted
