So, power blast, head regeneration, and elastic limbs? So far he is reminding me of Shade or some elemental character.
However, to keep working my bronze statue idea, he HAS been using the powers of the Metal Men.
Crossbow would be a fairly good weapon against animal provided it was used in the proper manner. Yes, gather a few of nature’s nastier poisons and dose him until you’re out of ammo. Some hemotoxins, neurotoxins, and perhaps some of those ones that cause you to completely evacuate your digest system in both directions should incapacitate him long enough to teleport him to the pacific so he can be introduced to the monitor lizards of Komodo island. Our planet’s ecosystem is based on murder. They need to embrace this. At the very least throw an angry skunk at him.
Makes sense that MechTech has drones watching her back, just in case she ran into a low-tech foe. Still, now the guys know she’s vulnerable to ancient weaponry. Another case of death by Ewoks
Link strikes me as some sort of surreal, metagraphic being that draws his powers from his unique artistic design.
LockeZ: Never count on the same trick to work twice.
Mechtech has quite an attitude, of the sort that invites lethal-force adjustment. She doesn’t recognize biological users of technology as legitimate (“Turn on your molester”), nor does she have any respect for tech that has been used by biological users (“Explode in shame”). So far though, her control only extends to software-controlled equipment. One wonders how she would fare against a genuine AI.
As the B-Movie Comic so excellently phrased it on Friday:
In reality, it might make perfect sense to try something again that almost succeeded the first time around – in a script for a work of fiction, that would just be boring: near success means ‘try something completely different’.
Looks like Bax was an excellent choice to take out Mechtech – she obviously prides herself on being completely in control at all times, so she only really needed one unexpected event to throw her off her game, and Bax is easily the weakest fighter present but well capable of delivering disorienting surprises.
@ LockeZ – She knows what mechanical firearms look like, and so her (and her team’s) reaction would be completely different. She would not recognize a medieval weapon and so would waste precious time trying to talk to it, as the obvious assumption for them is ‘something you don’t recognize’ = ‘advanced technology’. Also, since her team also assumes it’s a technological weapon (since they also do not recognize it) they leave her to it, instead of moving to protect her from a known threat like a firearm.
I hope the head of the crossbow is delivering some awesome computer virus or poison or something. Notice how Bax seems to expect her to *pass* out instead of being knocked out?

Should have just nuked them from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.
To much collateral damage to nuke them from orbit, after all the team are the good guys.
(It was an Aliens reference.)
They can bill me!
Dam… Partly was hoping for a Dead Tech-Woman… But oh well…
Also… Crosshach Man’s powers keep confusing me… I’ve got zero clue just what the hell he’s got!
Pulled to the left. Well, that’s why [WARNING: CONTROVERSY AHEAD] you don’t close one eye when you’re shooting a crossbow.

@Moe Lane: You know it’s possable that Baxter used the Crossbow like he did to make sure it wouldn’t kill MechTech…
I’m still not sure why he used a crossbow instead of an AK-47.

Crosshatch Man? Where did your eyes go? Crosshatch Man? Wait… Nice suit… Disappearing facial features…. Limbs which seem to rapidly change in length….
SLENDY? IS THAT YOU? (Holy crap, I guess this makes Animal “The Rake”!)
