Okaaay, our main characters had an awesome adventure we didn’t got to see (thanks a lot, btw ¬.¬). Anyway, Rikk got some of Rumy’s blood on his open wounds, thus contracting the Syndrome (which I think it works like hepatitis: even if you get better, you can’t donate blood anymore, because you have it in your blood forever). I’m curious to see why can’t they use Rikk’s wives’ blood to work out a vaccine from the antibodies
One thing that confuses me is I have zero memory of Rumy being exposed to Worthington’s in the process of finding a cure for Alisin. I feel like that’s something I would have remembered – but I’m sure it’s just early onset Alzheimer’s. I didn’t realize there were classes of infectious diseases that were transmitted via blood to blood contact only (without also being transmitted by sex). But apparently there are. Hepatitis C is one. So I learned something new today.
Yep. It happened in “Mortal Combat.” Rumy, not sure she could beat the General in straight hand-to-hand fighting, concealed a vial of Ally’s contaminated blood in her gi, in front of her stomach. Then she got the General to punch it, shattering the vial and contaminating them both.
So… how quickly before Rumy’s certified as unfit for continued duty?
After all. Even though she’s ‘cured’ of the syndrome, her blood contains it. There’s way too much chance she’ll bleed during one of her hand fights. If her opponent also bleeds, there’s a chance for cross-contamination…
And of course, she’s already infected one of her teammates.
Bonus points for Rumy being the vector instead of Ally, though.
Also, in hindsight, Rikk’s ‘action reality star’ turn against Jayespin makes more sense, if he’s exhibiting some of the same hyperactivity as Ally used to do…
But seriously no, it’s probably not. It’s probably just some… energy ball thingy the Djinn is making. Maybe. I dunno, it looks molten, but those… COULD be craters?

Morton’s Salt: When It Rains, It POURS.
ELISHA DIED?! NOOOOOO! Well, maybe Hawk is still alive and sane. I hope so. He was my favorite character.
“Wasn’t really working out”? That’s a very…gentle way of saying it.
The Al-Qaeda… DJINN? o.O What.
Oh, Moebius, there are LOTS of adventures you don’t get to see. Team Alpha was active for years before Book Six began.
But the Al-Qaeda Djinn was mentioned before, briefly, in “Sir Yes Sir.”

Ohhhhh! Right, right, right. I knew I must just be forgetting.

See, now THIS is a villain I’d like to see. A terrorist Genie? That’d be one crazy fight.
Is it me or is this the first time Xenochicklets was used in cannon? If not could somebody tell me when the first time that phrase was used?
Never noticed, but there’s a laser heading from that small moon…
THAT’S NO MOON

So that’s what happened to the rest of the Soldier-boys. ouch..
I’m sad to say I can’t remember the Agents who died or were removed from the team in this one. Maybe if someone could put up a link or two?
