I always assumed the scene where the FIB-Fans were manipulated into fighting with the original Fans was your way of addressing the evolution of the art and the characters. I mean, if they looked the same, that whole thing would have been a lot harder to follow.

I have absolutely no artistic skill to remake page 1, but if I might make a suggestion for another remake contest, it would be neat to try re-making/re-inventing/re-mixing/re-booting the Fans characters themselves, particularly if each contributor had to reinvent them with one major thing different. Kind of how people keep doing for the Justice League.
For example, given how much nerd culture has become popular American culture in the last fifteen years, it would be an interesting challenge to try and make the original fans as if issue 1 started in 2012.

Kingleon: I see Tim v2 as an avid WikiLeaks reader with the attitude of /b/ incarnate with a decal of a Guy Fawkes mask on his laptop. He would be not quite as stocky as the original, wearing a My Little… uhh, Horsie tee-shirt to complete the image.
You know, I kinda like that first page.
I don’t think there’s anything that can be done to improve what’s already been done. Sadly… Also I lack any skill to do art. So yeah…
First person to remake this scene with every character as Christopher Walken wins a prize. That prize being my respect.

OH GOOD LORD Shanna is such a… stuffed-shirt in that page! It’s uncanny!
@Locke: Now I wish I had the artistic skill to make the version you’ve suggested. Cause that’s a really funny idea.

I would totally leap on this any other week… =( Unless you want “looks like a child drew this in five seconds” look ¬¬
