It might even be a way of showing respect and love for her sister by recognizing how much Rumy honors and respects her former teacher. Akane seems like the type that’s not good at expressing her emotions (or unwilling to acknowledge she has emotions) so this would be a way to express them without having to actually talk to her sister.
