Looks like I was right about them getting slapped with a terrorist rap. This whole thing could be a time travel paradox within a paradox. The original General went back in time from a future where Earth was at the center of a great empire. Although she failed to destroy fandom she altered it and possibly the future enough. It’s possible that one of the races she subjugated were the Cuckoos and if that didn’t happen they are free to attack Earth. Now the General 2.0 goes back in time to alter a present she cannot accept. Perhaps that’s what Shanna wants to discuss with Will.
Minor, probably irrelevant point, but anyone recognize Jackie’s companion? (Is that Tim’s other kid?)
More relevant point: anyone else think that skepticism over the time travelers and/or disagreement over how to stop the future they describe may be what ends up derailing AEGIS?
…
This is not even remotely Penny’s face. It’s definitely Maximiliana’s face.
BUT I CAN’T HELP BUT SEE PENNY!
Her expression and the way she clasps her hands in the last panel…So, so Penny. oO
Just realised something that I’m sure was obvious to everyone else but that dragon in the first panel is surely the crazy scientist which means he’s still working with the group or, at least, is still relatively loyal
Some Guy: It makes sense, given how much effort the good doctor put into cheating death and that the Cuckoos are apparently out to kill all sapient life on Earth that isn’t them.
Yea, Fitz wouldn’t be pleased, if only because fewer people means few body swaps. Then the cuckoos were all “has the potential to aid or abet criminals” and nuked the facility from orbit.
I’d like to know about who all was in Ar-Ra’d if so many of AEGIS’ best people died on the third encounter and if beggars cannot be choosers there might be formerly incarcerated people there. Unless the cuckoos destroyed the AEGIS prison facility or took the prisoners under their wings (heh) there would be a lot of talented people who like Fitz would have survival as a motivation especially if the Hand of Justice is intent of replacing humanity. I could see some members of the Order joining although I think Fedyg would be content to sit back and let everyone die out. The same could be said for Gorzynski. Unless they promised him his dragon body back he’d probably enjoy seeing humanity destroyed just like his kind.
The General’s happy face is vaguely disturbing somehow.
Yeah, her face is like, “So now it’s time for arts and crafts!” o_O
I’m just glad to see Hilda again, even if her fate is up in the air.

I just love the fact that the General actually used “AFAIK” in verbal speech.
…I love this Maxie.

Tween Maxie is adorable.
Yes, Jackie’s companion there is Tim’s other child, Sean.
Don’t. Trust. The Man-Chin.
Amen, Locke.
@jason waltrip: That’s a guy? I guess androgyny is the style in the crappy cuckoo-future…

Dragons.
Dragons are a sentient race which as far as we know originated on Earth.
