okay this is totality unexpected and blowing my mind. why would rick even suggest that? why would he offer to help do something like that? it’s like Jor-EL helping to clone and Zod after he destroyed Krypton.
@e_voyager: Because, in theory, Mr. Spin could have managed it by himself, and no one would know or interfere, and that would be bad. Rick is probably betting on fixing the General’s megalomania early on in her childhood, or this is going to be a parable about nurture vs. nature.
Wow, I… You sir, have surprised me. You pulled a painfully obvious and heavily foreshadowed twist that I for one did not enjoy. You set my expectations low. And then, right when my guard was down and I was expecting the obvious again, BLAM, you hit me from right out of left field. Yeah, Rikk’s playing up the ‘messiah’ role again, but he’s doing it in a way that’s both devious and admirable. I did not see this coming, not at all. Bravo, sir, you just reminded me why I read this webcomic.
@E_voyager: With this comic…who knows? That the team will be victorious is given, and maybe it will work out to be awesome (and do some delving into parental feelings and passing power, along with nurture v nature), or victory may prove to be shaped like the bodies of Jaye and early teen General; (sarcasm mode) Team needs angst fuel badly.(end sarcasm mode)
Did *not* see that coming, but in retrospect, considering how he trys to save *everybody*, I should have. Like Shanna said, try telling us you don’t have a Messiah Complex while you’re not wearing the Jesus Beard.

@The_Rippy_One okay that makes some sense. sort of like the redeeming of Superboy prime. but would it work?
Maybe he hopes to save Jayespin from destroying himself?
Whu… Whu… WHAAAAAT?!

The worst thing you can do to a man is give him hope, then take it away
