Wow, I am really glad Ally didn’t make it into the building there, but I hope that being so close to the blast isn’t going to have negative effects on the baby there.
I wonder if the “only way to be sure” was to guarantee Hyperman’s demise…or Feddyg’s? Given H’s abilities you’d think it was the former, but if Jared has an idea what Feddyg’s capable of re: future visions, it could well be the latter.
From the (mystical?) orange flames in the background, I also wonder if in Feddyg’s desperation he was panicked enough for his powers to start to overload whatever dampeners those cells were using…too late, most likely.
The villians in there better be dead because I always hate that when they use this big powerful move but instead of killing the villian they somehow through some copout move survive and the hero who did the move died or didn’t survive it.
-It could go either way: Maybe Jared’s onslaught served its purpose and Hyper/Ult wasn’t able to power-up in time. Or… maybe Hyperman regained his strength in the nick of time and he managed to burrow his way to safety. However, as I pointed out in an earlier comic, this “I blew myself up but I failed to take the villain with me” scene is something we already saw during the guy’s last battle with Maximilliana, so it’s not likely. Not impossible at all, just not likely.
-Jared is a goner. So is Feddyg. It’s a bitter loss and a good riddance, respectively.
-Next comic is going to cut to Rumy or to Rikk’s captors. I bet this is a cliffhanger
Well Jared, you got two major threats down with you, including what appears to be the most powerful of their group who’s the one who killed Tim after he took down Mechtech last time. Well done, sorry that it’s your last great act.
I’ll wait a little bit before I grieve for Jared. This comic does actually kill people off, but sometimes a character also survives. Here’s hoping, because I actually always liked Jared.
Though honestly, I’m still trying to figure out if I like this semi-sequel thing when the first one ended so well.
I feel the need to compliment Jason’s art here. The explosion’s so big that the sound effect actually constitutes the whole panel! I also like how every tier of panels is broader than the one above it. It’s super effective!
My bet is on Tim to die next. Sorry Tim, but a nerd is due to die next, and your screwloose daughter from the future is exactly cryptic enough to make you redundant while also making everyone wish you were still here to decipher what she says. After Tim I expect Charlotte to die being heroic, and then Shanna to die getting revenge.
I…don’t think anyone is getting out of that one.
…guess he didn’t dodge.

:moment of silence for Jared:
He went out like a pro.

The giant space cannon never works.
youuuu fooooools
Indeed he did, with his boots on. Hats off to Jared.
y’know… i don’t think i have any fingernails left. i am anxiously awaiting the next page. i don’t even dare ponder the possibilities…!
Actually, I think that the rule is that the Giant Space Cannon is never actually *tried*.
The villians in there better be dead because I always hate that when they use this big powerful move but instead of killing the villian they somehow through some copout move survive and the hero who did the move died or didn’t survive it.
From this comic I can surmise that:

Ripley: “I say we take off and nuke the site from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.”
In his last moment, quoting Aliens while killing actual aliens? He was the alpha geek, and don’t you ever forget it.
Go now to the Emperor’s side, brother.
Is it wrong that I heard the Ion Cannon sound effect from Tiberium Wars in my head while I was reading this?
bah, how come Feddyg didnt spill out even one “Curses!”?
END OF ACT 4
And let the next verse begin.
He died a warrior’s death. This is no cause for sorrow, but for celebration! (Performs Klingon Death Howl)
*Sniffles* Rest in peace, Jared.
/salute
Unless Mechtech contacted one of the teleporters of course.
If she did, we’d see Mr. Grey-face going through a Bellhop portal or glowing blue a la Blueberry.
Mechtech is dumb.

Wasn’t Rumy cutting power lines right near there?
JAAAAARRREEEDDD! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
:'( Manly tear for you, bro.
You died as you lived…LIKE A BOSS.
@Thomas Thanks. That was a tricky panel to do. Getting the right font, the spacing of the letters just right.
FEDDYG, NO! THOSE AREN’T JAZZ HANDS!
YOU FOOOOOOOL!
Ally totally isn’t going to get killed. But the rest are totally dead and we’ll soon see their bodies.
That’s it, man! Game over, Man! GAME OVER!
It’s an Earth shattering BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM, not a ka-boom, but it will do.
And there goes the black guy.
My bet is on Tim to die next. Probably Jesse rather than Charlotte, now that I think about it.
Just two hours (I hope) to find out (maybe) but I’ve got to say I love Feddyg’s last words 😀
RIP Jared – he was a good man, a good soldier
Good Riddance to Feddyg, he didn’t die badly enough. And Hyperman was a twit, good riddance to him as well.
