Yeah. You would think that by now people would be more aware of the perils of monologuing before a subdued foe. Monologuing about the way you’re keeping said foe subdued is the most egregious form of monologuing, if you ask me
Oh no bro, you just destroyed a piece of electronic weaponry in front of your partner mechtech. She’s not likely to appreciate that. Maybe this was Jared’s plan? He monologued about his plans on purpose because they were fake plans and the real goal was to get Hyperman and Mechtech to fight each-other?
I’m having a little trouble following along with the action. I understand that Ult was hurt, but not killed, however did Jared get knocked down when he flew up and hit the ceiling? And is Mech-Tech communicating with him telepathically or did she just appear in the screen. If she’s complete again then why not shut off the grenades herself? As for the rest it looks like the others escaped outside since we see clouds above their heads while Ally is headed to AEGIS HQ. If she should see them before entering I wonder if it will matter since she seems intent on going there. And it appear Feddyg is still and well too.
@ Ray. That’s what I thought, but then I realized how implausible it would be for Ally to take a cross country trip to San Fransisco when she could just get someone from AEGIS to teleport her there or so she might be thinking since she doesn’t know the Xenochiclets are on strike. I thought she might be going to the airport, but unless she checks that chain in with luggage there’s no way TSA will let her on a plane.
@IS_Wolf: Actually, she reminds me of Vexus there, if nothing else from facial expression.
@Brasca1: Maybe she can’t deactivate the grenades because of the way they work, or simply would take about as long as he is finding them. I’m thinking there might be another confrontation between Aly and Feddyg when he’s released from his cell either on purpose or by damage.
Yeah, still going with “They really should have killed him when they had the chance”.
@Moebius, I’m happy to critique the “monologue problem,” but in this case it isn’t really worth critiquing. Ult/Hyperman was fully capable of finding the source of that sound without Jared telling him what it was.
@Locke, I think Feddyg has his hands pressed against the glass.
As for the “monologue problem”, such monologues have been a staple of comics for decades, and if it hadn’t been explained, there would instead be dozens of people questioning what the grenades were actually doing.
Well, it’s a problem less in a practical aspect here and more of a “we know if anyone explains things before they’ve won then they’re doomed to lose unless they haven’t explained everything.”
So he does still look a lot like Lance (was it?) under that helmet.
GUH. Mechtech’s face when.

Is it just me, or does that overly muscular fellow seem a tad upset?
JUST AS PLANNED

Ally isn’t heading to AEGIS; she’s heading towards Rumy.

Am I the only one who thinks Mechtech kinda looks like one of the Villains from Hard Reset?

And Feddyg defends himself the best way he knows how.
With the ancient, unspeakable power of Jazz Hands.
Well, Jared did do some damage.
And did buy some time for the others.

@IS_Wolf Maybe not…looks like Hexadecimal from Reboot
The way comics get around that is to have boxes with descriptions of the non-obvious things. Better than expository dialog.
Well, I think it was Badass!
Personally hoping for Feddyg to end up dead soon… >.>
Slight correction, was thinking of Reboot, and in particular of the villain Hexadecimal.
Wait a second… was Jared wearing a tupee? Why is he bald in the first panel?!
That’s his chin -_-
@IS_Wolf : You’re absolutely right, that definitely looks like one of the faces of Hexadecimal.
