Wouldn’t surprise me a bit if there’s a lot of debate over Ally’s decision here, given the whole “she’s carrying unborn life” thing, but for me, purely as what I’d want her to do…
Go slap some sense into Rumy, hon’. No better woman.
If someone doesn’t save this situation, even if Ally lives it’s not going to be much of a world to raise the baby in. I don’t have any problems with her decision.
It’s been long-established that temporal paradoxes are not possible in the Faans! universe. Time travel creates a split timeline, it doesn’t alter the one the travelers come from.
I heard pregnant ladies are not supposed to ride motorcycles, nor travel by plane, on their third trimester. I’ve heard they ought to avoid even stressful situations at that point of their pregnancies. Then again, I heard they’re also not supposed to confront violently deranged spouses wielding mythological swords, so I guess that point is moot.
And Ally? Don’t let your pregnancy stop your “back in the old uniform” thing. Some black sweatpants and a black sports bra should do the trick
@Cryoblade – She’s not just cutting down an electrical line here or there. There were houses on fire. Plus at this point it’s likely Rumy knows nothing about the fate of Mechtech and/or her merger with Cloud – she’s been otherwise occupied since Bellhop ported her to Cuckoo Island.
They’re going to kill Tiki Wiki, whose body is preserving Will Erixon, killing both in the process.
Curious that Mechtech still has her princess Leia attachments even though when the dragon picked her up after the Doctor stabbed her to death, she didn’t have them. They do fly though. Why would they attach themselves back to the (mostly?) dead body?
@Moebius I do not believe Alli is in her third trimester, she looks closer to women I know who are her size who were on about their fifth month. Also the reason they aren’t supposed to ride on planes is because no one wants to deliver a baby on a plane.
Alli knows there are 2 people in the world who could possibly talk Rumy down from this state, one of them is unaccounted for by what she knows. It is time for her to think of the greater good.
Oddly enough, if one is physically fit, one doesn’t have to curtail any of of their activities during pregnancy. In fact, my OB/GYN told me to continue doing my normal physical routines during my pregnancies because it produced healthier babies. Women are A LOT tougher than you think. Stop thinking like the fifties where male doctors knocked pregnant women out to delivery their babies because they believed women were too frail to deliver by themselves….

Unless she’s headed to the airport that’s a long ride ahead. I think the Oberfs live in Washington DC.

brasca: She’s probably heading for AEGIS HQ to find out WTF is going on, rather than heading directly to Rumy’s position.
I love that the old pants don’t fit anymore.
I love that her “new” pants are loose-fitting sweatpants with a drawstring tie!
Yea, I wonder how many people noticed the pants she’s wearing in the final panel.
Too bad she doesn’t have a maternity version!
Damn, riding on the motorcycle alone could cause a miscarriage and then there’d be a temporal paradox.

Anyone else hearing “Back in Black” coming from somewhere…?
Oh fuck yes. She’s back.

So Joseph could die twice in the same day!
“Rumi, no! what about our son? We can still create a world where he won’t have to die trying to change it!”
*later that day*
“I’m sorry, Mrs. Oberf, you’ve had a miscarriage.”
why is everyone so certain that rummy is having a breakdown? they are fighting a cloud/mechtech merged villain. deny them electricity.
Those pants pissed her off even more.
I wouldn’t want to be Rumy right now.

I dunno if this is just me, but I don’t quite recall who this is.
