Yeah, not showing enough interest in the mysterious time travelers that could make or brake you was a very stupid move, AEGIS. You could have at least bugged Tim’s kid 24/7 in order to catch all those crucial idiot savant moments -such as this one- that you probably missed. A real shame.
Well the others didn’t know about the time travelers until shortly before the mission. Blame that one Shanna, Will, Hilda, and probably Jared. What I’d like to know is how those nano-comms reattached to her. They popped off when she was killed and they weren’t on her head when Fitz carried her body off. Does it follow the user to wherever they go or is this an Optimus Prime trailer metaphysical matter?
In the previous combat scene, on the skyscraper rooftop, I’m pretty sure they flew around on their own and then returned to her head after a while. So, probably they did that again.
Alternately, maybe she just had spares in her purse.
Welp, Bax, just realize that she’s only going to be useful probably around 1/4 of the time. Also, if Wiki-Tiki HAS really turned, Dotty would be easily manipulated by him.
Julie said in the event of her death she’d leave Dotty in charge so there has to be something that would make her more important than just being connected to some of the major combatants of the day.
Unless she really is a traitor, and she said she’d leave Dotty in charge because her random batshit is even more disadvantageous than actual plotting if someone tries to rely on her 😛
So, like, no one is asking about Tiki Wiki’s actions? No, “Hey, your buddy just vaporized our last leader, what’s up with that? You guys vet him first? Any idea why he would do that?”
The whole group seems to be taking the betrayal in stride.
@Lich Mong: Well, Bax brought it up in the previous comic, and Julie didn’t comment on it. Which could mean a) she has no idea, b) she has an idea, but it makes no difference right now and there are more important things to focus on, or c) she knew all along, and is not going to admit it just like that. It’s possible that d) she has an idea and it would be a great help right now, but she just forgot to mention it… but that doesn’t sound like Julie.
They’re taking a great risk putting her in command, but pushing the Tiki Wiki matter further isn’t going to change anything right now.
I think that she and the others need to think on it, and there’s simply no time for that at the moment. As big a thing as that betrayal may be, there’s actually things going on that are even more important than that
I mean, I understand that there’s not much time to grieve and that 2 of the party members are anyway.
I am more commenting on the fact they put someone in charge who’s cohort just vaporized the last leader WITHOUT getting an answer about how something like that might happen. I mean last comic it was basically, “Since my buddy killed your leader I will now nominate myself to be leader.” And now the rest of the group seems to be saying, “Yeah, ok, that makes sense.” Without even demanding an explanation.
I just figured out Wikis angle. Let’s look at the facts: He is a collector of artifacts, he is a historian, and his focus of research was this time period. Presumably he has a way to collect and store artifacts, yes? Maybe he pulled a switcheroo with the skull of Will Erixon from his time. Possible reason for him to have suggested genetic testing as well.

LOL
“i’m a software guy”
now it figures why he didnt challenged command for himself.
didn’t have an app for that.
Is Baxter in awe because he realized Dotty wasn’t braindead? Or because he just realized she was Tim’s kid? Or is it both?

I’m still waiting for the comic where the general cuts her hair short.
Granted I like her better with long hair, but let’s not go there. That’s private.
MechTech splits at the middle & Joseph splits at the middle without bleeding. Coincidental? Intentional? Is Joseph a Cuckoo?

To use the vernacular: WTF?!??!?
