Miller's line in this strip is our second use of actual subtlety.

Jeni McRian's complaints about fan behavior are based on Jenny McCarthy's autobiography, which showed a pronounced lack of gratitude to the people who had given her enough fame to get paid for an autobiography in the first place. I realize the life of a Playboy model is a lot less fun than it looks like, but taking that out on the fans is graceless and suicidal. Small wonder she vanished from the popular consciousness not long after that. She recently resurfaced as Jim Carrey's girlfriend and he insists there's a more intelligent side to her. I don't doubt that, but some people aren't meant for fame.

Jeni's face also takes on Jenny-like qualities here.
