Shanna, no offense, but you don’t even trust yourself. You are afraid of your own genes betraying you and turning you into your mom. You’re afraid you’re not strong enough to uphold your commitment to your husband – bailing on your marriage like your dad. It’s a wonder you’re still part of the same social circle.
Who’s this “Tim the Fanboy”? Never heard of him. *cough cough*
And I’m still disappointed that Stu died rather than going through character development and changing his ways. Hopefully, if there IS a traitor (I’m thinking “Betrayal” won’t be so literal), it’s handled much better this time. Not that I’m insulting Campbell’s writing, really. After all, I’m still reading this comic weekly for a reason. 😛
My guess is, and has always been, Shanna herself. Caught on the horns of a dilemma, she will make a difficult decision that she feels is necessary at the time, but which she nonetheless views as a betrayal. Which is why she never wanted to talk about it in the future until it was too late.
Tim’s daughter looks a lot like Laura, the “I’m nice” girl who rode the dragon. Slightly different hair, and costume… but I’d probably get confused if I saw them in the same panel.
What if the traitor didn’t even decide to betray them yet? Like Shanna says, The Fanboy was seemingly loyal, but then he suddenly decided to change sides because of the circumstances.
I think the big clue is the fact that future Shanna refused to elaborate. The ‘betrayal’ scandalized her.
What would scandalize Shanna?
Is she herself the traitor? Or could it be Will Erixon?
What would it take for Will to turn against his friends? I mean, impossible, right?
Somehow, Hilda, I don’t think this will have a mathematical solution.

“No, but I know the probability distribution” – epic.
And Stu got character development, just not in the main timeline.
Stu would’ve gotten better if he had time off away from teh group. Sadly enugh…

Hilda, on the other hand, is plain scary.
I do love Jesse’s perv face in the first panel.
Also, I’m betting the traitor is the -second- to least likely person on Hilda’s list, because Faans likes to toy with cliches and anticliches.
Laura has a round nose, Dotty pointed. But I had to go back and compare them side-by-side to notice that.

Right?
All I can say is those people saying its Shanna or Will are making a lot of sense.
HILDA WILL NEVER SEE IT COMING!
Unless its HILDA HERSELF.
