5 strips left. Lotsa loose ends yet to tie up:
-Do the “Aegis kids from the future” stay or go back?
-Jesse, is he pardoned or go back to the brig?
-Soulson – what happens to him?
-When will the “Space Community” show up so they can meet earth’s human inhabitants (the key thing to insure more Cuckoos don’t come)?
Will Di snap Bax’s neck in disappointment post-u-kno-what?
-Do Penny and Aggie finally get together?
Who knows? Maybe in this universe, they never split. 😀
Actually, I asked T once, in the P&A/QUILTBAG forum, whether the sexual orientations of the Belleville High students are the same in the Fans!verse as they are in the P&Averse. If I remember correctly, he said they pretty much are, the main difference being that because LGBTQ teens in the Fans!verse are right up on top of the social hierarchy with the geeks, those at Penny’s and Aggie’s school who hadn’t yet determined their sexuality would be willing to explore that question a lot sooner than Sara, Penny and Aggie were in the P&Averse.
Surprisingly, many of these questions will be answered.
I’ll tell you one right now, though: are the ‘kids from the future” going to go back to an alternate future in which they were rapidly being hunted to extinction by an ineradicable infestation of Cuckoos who had the intragalactic Community backing them up? No, they prefer to be alive.
I agree. Probably in the form of an honourable discharge, but a forced retirement nonetheless. From Will’s (or perhaps Shanna’s) perspective as a general, as opposed to that as a friend, it can’t be overlooked that Rumy caused possibly billions of dollars of damage, out of her own free will. From that purely practical, strategic perspective, her motives for doing so, and the emotional stress she was under, wouldn’t obviate that damage. Nor, from that POV, would it be prudent to allow her to continue as a field operative with high-level access to special weapons and to national security secrets.
Hee hee hee. I love some of the comments that’s have been made.
I think the suggestion that Ru is being retired is probably correct, which is not unexpected in a situation like that. Which i doubt the trio will have a big problem with.
… and with Shanna having just walked into the room … which one is the general?

Fivesome?

whichever Erixon is the general, I smell a draft notice…
They’ve lost Marc and Jared and the Xenochiclets, and Shanna’s folded as a field agent.
And Tim can certainly punt the “but we’re parents!” argument if the Oberfs try it.
Uh. That’s not an incoming draft notice, that’s an incoming forced retirement.

^^^ “Basically, soldier, you just became a very heroic liability.”
If Rumy gets discharged, the Oberfs can go be people again. I like that.
I approve of a discharge
And so we learn that Will has had an imaginary friend for the entire run.
she’ll need to surrender her concealed magic weapon license
Wait, they’ve decided to name Ali’s kid “General Erixon?” Way to confuse someone before (s)he’s even born.

Even if they retire Rumy, that family is going to be a weirdness magnet. They’ll end up mixed up in General Erixson’s business somehow.
