What does “spiritdeath” refer to? I cant remember Julia’s fate in Dotty’s timeline, or even if we ever learned it. Does she just mean that Julia sank into a state of deep depression, or something more obscure?
@Commiekeebler
Um, yes? It is sort of the defining element of her character, and a bit of a mystery (if there wasn’t an explanation long ago that I’ve missed/forgotten).
This strip (minus the first panel of course) is so full of d’awww. <3
It’s up to Dotty since it seems like everyone else who goes up against Mech-Tech loses once the element of surprise wears off.
Think all the nasty things you want about libertarians. Baxter’s empathy and humanity makes most of your arguments invalid.
I’m glad that the lack of interaction between Tim/Julia and Dotty is finally being acknowledged.
Re: Baxter, I’d almost forgotten that he used to be annoying.
Have we ever had an explanation for why Dotty’s so dotty?
Do you really need a reason?

Julia went off the deep end a bit when Tim died, that’s what she’s talking about.

It’s got “plot-point” written all over it to me.
I like that, in a comic full of brainiacs, we also get a character who is very mentally slow.
I don’t think she’s ‘slow’, I think she’s some sort of savant.

Not that I’m trying to weigh in on a political debate or anything, but remember, he IS a fictional character…
