Well Marc got to go out in a blaze of glory, but I’m worried that Link might’ve transferred his consciousness to someone else. At first I thought it was Shanna since she got stabbed by him, but now that I think about it he had a coil around Tiki Wiki’s neck and drew blood right before he got sucked in. I don’t think it’s over yet what with the Big Bad going down this early in the chapter.
Title is “Beginnings” so I think the Cuckoos will be settled fairly soon so we can see the formation of what’s going to replace Aegis.
Tim the Fanboy and Harry had relatives unaccounted for. Wouldn’t mind seeing one of them brought in. (For all we know, the guy Helen Narbon left to die survived long enough for her tech to go poof with her)
Prediction: Marc appears to have gone out in a blaze of glory here, and it’s certainly possible that is what is happening. But it’s also possible that there is still much about Tiki Wiki’s dimension space we do not understand. Not only is it likely that Link might survive, it is also quite possible that Marc’s consciousness will also be preserved, allowing him to dramatically reappear under different circumstances arcs later in a new (rebuilt? stolen? both?) body.
But if he is being killed of 4 realz, it is a sad day indeed. He was a noble fan, and a total badass.
Yeah, I wasn’t really expecting everyone to come out of this alive.
Actually, by the time all the cuckoos (and their secret master in the shadows) are dead, I don’t expect more than two people to come out of this alive.

Wait, when did Shanna get hit? Didn’t Marc push her away?
Just realized … perhaps Tiki was referring to Shanna’s injuries …
…fuck you, Link.
I deeply regret Marc’s demise. He was an OK character, and he deserved to live.
Damn you, Link!
(However, for services to humankind performed when you slit Tiki Wiki’s throat, I hereby pronounce you a “Not So Bad After All” kind of guy)
@MaulMachine, Shanna got hit on page 1 of this chapter, off-panel. You were all meant to think it was just Marc who got hit there. It wasn’t.
Her shocked look at Marc’s situation doesn’t reveal how badly she herself was hit.
Look closely at Tiki Wiki in panel 5. Is he having problems holding Link in?
wow…. and last week I was wondering why Shanna had dropped her gun! Hold on there girl!
.
.
(please donĀ“t end up in a refrigerator)
Drakkin, should I cancel the request for the emergency medical cryokit?

Is no one going to comment on how awesome Will’s line in panel six is? Because god damn, that is an awesome line.
… frak me, it’s Will talking in panel eight, too. Did not realize that.
Moment of silence for Marc. He went out as much a hero as anyone could hope for, possibly more.
