I guess since they are people of the future they have all kinds of handy dandy deus ex machinas, but I really would like to know how Will is alive. A pocket dimension is one thing, but Tiki Wiki had Will’s skull complete with DNA verification so is there some kind of clone-o-matic under that cloak of his too? And was Julie in on this or thinking quickly since she told TW to act now?
Looks like Shanna was pushed out of the way in time, but Marc may not be so lucky.
Yeah, it’s definitely the skull from their timeline. And Julie was clearly in on it- that’s why she didn’t care when Tiki “defected”. Probably a backup plan that they had readied in the likely event the encounter went south- though I am curious if Dotty was in on it or not.
From one fish to another, is it weird that my mind automatically assumed “LeChuck” was an amalgam of Lebron James and Charles Barkley, or is that just a function of the playoffs?
That would be one scary basketball player, though…
@Kadzooque — well, obviously, Will’s been provided with a tunable-frequency blaster, with an automatic randomizer/rotation feature. Because no entitity that routinely matches attacks and creates perfect defenses for them can *possibly* match all available blaster energy signatures? Or remember them all? That would take a staggering amount of computation power and storage….oh, wait… 😉
If Tiki-Wiki is storing crap within him, I can only hope that he has one of the blasters the freedom fighters of the future had come up with to fight Future!Link. And that Will is now equipped with it.
That blood is not looking good, though. Mark, Shannon, or the Camera Crew?
Huh. So Julie knew Will was alive the whole time, and didn’t tell anyone becaaaause… why?
I mean, I could understand if she was worried that the Hand would hear, but clearly none of the plan this far would have worked at all if they could have, so… yeah, what’s up with that? Secrets just for the sake of secrets? Isn’t it easier for Marc and Shanna to fight when they’re not freaking out in surprise?
I dunno. Guth’s whole thing about them knowing too much? Them not having full knowledge of the betrayal? Making sure the Hand didn’t catch on when nobody acts like they should when Will “dies”?
..um…why is there red at the last panel? …oh crap.
Not the kool-aid!

If they’re from the future they had future Will’s skull to carry with them. They did DNA confirmation not carbon dating.
@ Mitch. I didn’t think of that and I suppose it would be possible if the Hand left his corpse behind.

Ominous blood is ominous. ><
Oh, great! Now I’m hearing Link with the voice of LeChuck.
From one fish to another, is it weird that my mind automatically assumed “LeChuck” was an amalgam of Lebron James and Charles Barkley, or is that just a function of the playoffs?

Wide band shots in an enclosed space? Heavy risk. BUT THE PRIIIIZE….
I’m still hearing “Four Minutes to Death ~ Variation” from Ghost Trick whenever Link’s on scene.
LeChuck = big bad of Monkey Island
Mitch – carbon dating is useless on anything younger than the Industrial Revolution, and worse than useless for anything younger than the Atomic Age.
When fighting a being who is resistant to your blasters, all you need is one extra guy with a blaster to turn the odds in your favor.

@Kadzooque. I agree with the sentiment; this doesn’t seem a very strategic time for him to reveal their secret.

Marc is looking like the most likely suspect, based on that last we saw them he was in front of her, but it could well be Shanna

I hope it’s Marc getting splattered there. At least HE would feel like a heroic sacrifice would redeem him.
Oh this comic has too many characters as is! Sacrifice harder I say.
Blood! Blood and bread! That’s what the people wanted since Ancient Rome times, and well before that, too.
No! That poor cameraman! (Yeah, bet you forgot he was in the room, din’cha?)
