I want to think she used this kind of thing on Bax during their maybe-a-date, but my recollection of the subject matter’s a tad fuzzy.
Regardless, I love how Rikk caught on instantly to her plan. I mean, sure, he’s kinda the Big Cheese and all, so he’d obviously have the smarts to do so, but it’s still a nice little touch.
I have to wonder whether Bellhop is wise to the plan, and going along with it, or clueless to whatever Di’s got up her sleeve?
What exactly is the plan? At first I thought they might laser Wheaties, but that would result in a lot of civilian deaths. Is Di just planning a genuine one-on-one with Wheaties?
I see that Di is pulling a Batman to Wheaties Bane..
“I broke your back Bat.”
“I got better, now come on you overgrown muscle bound oaf, time for round 2.”
Meaning this fight is in the bag, as she’s the m-f. Batman, and he always wins in the end. 😉 😛
As for what the plan might be, dropping Wheaties in front of Rumi maybe?
I mean, Animal vs Soulson and Yellow is pretty much a no contest, as they can create another teleporter loop that will keep him out of commission. (And that’s assuming that Soulson just doesn’t cut his head off with a portal, because that would be a pain to regenerate from.)
Hey, wait a second. Does Link have the ability to be in two places at once, or to split off parts of his body? Because isn’t that wiry stuff that’s binding Rikk made of Link? I remember the last time we saw Rikk, Link was holding him in a cage made of himself, using that same crazy wiry stuff. So if that’s still here, and Link has been down on Earth with the president, can he split up parts of his body and use them autonomously?
Because that could be very important and dangerous. If he can divide into multiple entities, and his body is made of bajillions of nanomachines…Yikes. And if that’s the case, who knows if each divided off part is just as much Link as the main part? In which case, we’d be looking at a Brainiac-type situation, with no real way to eliminate him as long as he hides some of him away.
I may just be overanalyzing this, but then again, I bet Rikk would be thinking the same thing.
Like, modern western culture? Probably around the time we realized how condescending it is take these supposedly strong, capable, aggressive female characters and then cordon them off from doing what they actually supposedly are supposed to be good at because, hey, can’t hit a weak defenseless woman. That’d be wrong.
Commiekeebler: He’s not hitting a woman. He’s fighting a warrior. The exact setup of her chromosomes, reproductive organs, and gender identity is completely secondary to the fact that one warrior is challenging the honor and ability of another.
Why do I get the feeling this is not the first time she’s used this method of psychological warfare?

I think the ellipses indicated that Bellhop knows what’s going on.

I think Bellhop is realizing about those using him, and is adopting a ‘let them lie in the bed they made’ approach.
As for Rikk, dude, a good leader KNOWS his team, and trusts them enough to play along, even if he doesn’t know exactly where it’s going.
And then they screwed like two alleycats in heat while a horrified Rikk, Bellhop, and several frightened DC tourists looked on.

Meaning no more threat to either Soulson or Rikk.
Is that DC in the portal? it looks like Di is trying to get Wheaties in the blast path of mech tech’s stolen weapon.
@Locke – If only, man. IF ONLY

I wonder when exactly did it become ok to hit a woman in this culture?
/rhetoric question

Equal rights goes both ways.
Me thinks Soulson may be wondering about his loyalties.
