Is she commemorating her destructive rampage as an act of repentance (some sort of “never forget what you did”), or is this painting more like a memento, a giant penny or a T-Rex to be displayed in the Oberfcave?
Aww, very. It’s nice seeing her with long hair again, for nostalgia. I’m also curious at her lower hand, which from position and angle looks like she *could* be pregnant again.. or that could totally be my imagination.
Jonrober: While I can understand the appeal of the thought, that position is a very common and comfortable one for resting one’s elbow on something and thinking, and I’m pretty sure that pregnant individuals are supposed to stay away from paint fumes. (Most recently, I remember reading a warning that, when the nesting urge kicks in strong right before birth, almost everything is fine except for painting the nursery which is something you should definitely get someone else to do for you…)
Surprising and pleasant to see that hairstyle again! I wondered for a little while if it could be their future child in Rumi’s old style of clothing, but if we know the first child is a boy then that would require either a second child or casual crossdressing. …which, granted, can’t be ruled out completely. The simplest explanation is most likely, though. *contemplates various amusing low-probability things*
@Thray: Anon meant he/she thought this might be the child the Oberfs have in the main timeline (the one being born while Will and Shanna meet the Community) and thus that this scene might be much longer after the end of the comic than we might otherwise think. The young-adult time-traveler Joseph was born and raised in a future where the Hand won, which has now been established as not this timeline, and so isn’t really relevant here.

@Anonymous: future child (Joseph Oberf) was bisected by Solson.
that may have happened before but now it never will.
She wears her old clothes because that’s what people do when they’re working with paint. I chuckled upon the realization. ^_^

Anyone else worrying about the chapter being named “end credits”?
@MisterTeaTime: ah, gotcha.
@KH: Faans! is over (again). “Beginnings” was the last story…these really are the end credits.
Totally pregnant.
I’ll admit I haven’t read this series in a while… but i will very much miss it.
