I realized there was supposed to be a sign for MASQ'S in the second panel some time after I'd put the sound effects in, and decided that rather than make the SFX illegible, I'd just make it one of those stores that hasn't gotten its sign painted yet. You see a lot of those around Virginia.
Katherine's understated line, and her odd friendship with Shanna, probably don't distract everyone from the fact that we're pulling the old not-now-I'm-busy-ignoring-your-important-information bit, and doing it TWICE IN ONE PAGE.
The savior of this sequence, though, is the last panel. Rumy manages more stage presence than anyone else on the set despite having only one frame to herself. And those little comic-book covers are hilarious. Almost all of them are Jason's ideas, and he came up with a rather different take on REPACKAGED MAN than I had intended.
